Unlocking the Advantages of Pterostilbene: A Highly Bioavailable Nutritional Powerhouse

Pterostilbene - Yüksek biyoyararlanıma sahip faydalı bir takviye

Pterostilben, yaban mersini, üzüm ve bu meyvelerden yapılan işlenmiş yiyecek ve içeceklerde (şarap veya üzüm suyu gibi) bulunabilen doğal bir bileşiktir. Çeşitli klinik, randomize, çift kör çalışmalar, ilave pterostilben alımının sağlık açısından çeşitli faydalar sağlayabileceğini göstermektedir. Moleküler yapısı resveratrol'e benzer ve her ikisi de fitoaleksinler (bitkiler tarafından parazitleri ve böcekleri savuşturmak için üretilen bileşikler) kategorisine girer. Daha güçlü ve biyoyararlanımı daha fazla olduğu için pterostilbenin bu ikisinin daha iyi bir takviyesi olduğu iddia edilebilir:

 

Emilim

Resveratrolün aksine, pterostilbenin hidrofobikliği ve oral emilimi arttırdığı gösterilmiştir. Tahmin edilenle karşılaştırıldığında Resveratrolün oral biyoyararlanımının %20'si olan pterostilbenin, 56 ila 168 mg/kg arasındaki dozlarda %80'e yakın oral biyoyararlanımı vardır. Pterostilbenin temizlenme oranı , vücutta verimli bir şekilde biyolojik olarak biriktiğini gösterir ve ikiz metoksi grupları , takviye edilmiş resveratrolden daha kolay bir şekilde hücrelere yayılmasını sağlar.

 

Pterostilbenin sağlığa faydaları

 

Kan Basıncını Düşürmek

Bu çalışma , pterostilbenin yüksek kolesterol düzeyine ( hiperkolesterolemi ) sahip yetişkinlerde kan basıncını düşürdüğünü ileri sürmektedir. Pterostilbenin kolesterol üzerinde bazı olumsuz etkileri olsa da üzüm çekirdeği ekstraktı bu etkileri hafifletti. Bu bulgular, üzüm çekirdeği ekstresi ve pterostilbenin birlikte desteklenmesi gerektiği teorisini desteklemektedir (tıpkı üzüm yerken olduğu gibi)

 

Nöroinflamasyonun Azaltılması (Sinir sistemi iltihabı)

Bu çalışmada , 10-30 μM pterostilbenin, doğrudan nitrik oksit radikallerinden arındırılmadan mikroglial nitrik oksit üretimini azalttığı gösterilmiştir. Bunu IκBa fosforilasyonunu inhibe ederek yapar. Bu etkilerin hafif olduğu gösterilmiştir. resveratrolden daha güçlüdür.

 

Kan Şekeri ve Diyabet

Çeşitli çalışmalar pterostilbenin kan şekeri düzeylerini iyileştirebileceğini göstermektedir:

 

- Hiperkolesterolemik bir hamsterin diyetine 25 mikrogram/kg pterostilben eklenmesiyle kan şekeri seviyeleri %14 düştü.

 

- Diyabetik sıçanlarda altı hafta boyunca 40 mg/kg, yalnızca kan şekeri düzeylerinde azalmaya değil aynı zamanda insülinde de artışa neden oldu.

 

- Daha az bir dereceye kadar, bu faydalar sağlıklı farelere bile yayıldı ve kan şekerini %6,3 oranında düşürdü.

 

- Hiperglisemik sıçanlarda, 40 mg/kg pterostilben takviyesinin etkileri, 500 mg/kg metformin alımıyla karşılaştırılabilir.

 

Bilişsel işlev

Pterostilbenin , 12-13 hafta boyunca desteklendiğinde yaşlı farelerde bilişi iyileştirdiği bile gösterilmiştir. Bilişsel iyileşmelerin hipokampustaki pterostilben konsantrasyonları ile ilişkili olduğu gösterilmiştir.

 

Pterostilbenin takviyesi güvenli midir?

Bir çalışma farelere her gün 3000 mg/kg dozda pterostilben uygulandı. (Bu, tahmini insan alımının 500 katıdır.) Bu dozlar önemli bir klinik toksisiteye neden olmadı.

 

Peki ya insanlar?
İnsanlar üzerinde yapılan bir klinik araştırmada , test denekleri 6-8 hafta boyunca günde iki kez 125 mg'lık dozlarda alınan 250 mg pterostilben takviyesi aldı. Klinik veya biyokimyasal toksisite belirtileri göstermediler.

 

Neden Üzüm Çekirdeği Ekstresi ile birleştirilmelidir?

Yukarıda bahsedildiği gibi pterostilbenin tek başına alınmasının LDL'de hafif bir artışa neden olduğu bazı durumlar vardı. Üzüm çekirdeği ekstraktı pterostilbenin yanında eklendiğinde bu yan etki ortadan kalktı. Temel olarak doğada üzüm çekirdeği ve pterostilben aynı meyve parçasında bir arada bulunur ve binlerce yıldır insanlar tarafından birlikte tüketilir.
